Four major incidents in my life have motivated me to start CareGuru: my beloved grandparents died prematurely of cancer within a span of nine months; and my father and father-in-law, both of whom are doctors had cardiac emergencies. All of these incidents could have been avoided with timely identification and preventive care.

Certainly, my experience is not unique. Many of us who live away from our parents and relatives in India are concerned about their well being, but we have limited options to act on our concerns. Oftentimes, we are completely unaware of what is looming until we hear about it via a dreaded phone call that requires us to jump on the next plane to India. This has to change!
